Frequently asked questions

Does this keep my WebP's transparency?

No — JPG can't store transparency. Transparent and semi-transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose (white by default) before conversion.

Can I convert an animated WebP?

No. Animated WebP is detected and rejected before conversion; only static WebP images are converted, and no attempt is made to keep any animation.

Can I change the background color?

Yes — pick any color before converting using the color picker in the conversion panel; white is used if you don't change it.

Which quality preset should I choose?

Standard is the default and a reasonable balance; choose high quality when preserving visual detail matters, or light for the smallest files.

Why convert WebP to JPG?

JPG opens reliably in almost every app and website, including some older or third-party software that doesn't support WebP.
