Important limitations
- 20KB means exactly 20,000 bytes, not a 20 KiB target, and reaching it is not guaranteed for every image.
- Such a small target usually requires noticeable quality loss and, often, resizing the image's dimensions.
- PNG compression uses color-count reduction, which can visibly change semi-transparent or gradient areas.
- Animated WebP and animated PNG (APNG) are both unsupported.
- If your original file is already under 20KB, it's returned unchanged rather than re-encoded.
- The target size can't be changed on this page — use compress to a target size if you need a different limit.
